Reading with Baby & Toddler
The foundation for literacy is built during the years from birth to preschool age. This is fundamental preparatory time we should not overlook. Wordplay, songs, nursery rhymes, and environmental print will begin to draw your little one into the wonderful world of language!

ABCs, Phonics & Print Conventions
The three most fundamental concepts a youngster must be taught in order to become a pre-reader are: the alphabet, phonemic awareness, and book/print conventions. All three concepts are interdependent and form the basis for future reading instruction. If great care is taken in presenting these concepts to little ones, the percentage of those that experience reading difficulties at a later age, will drop dramatically.
